The “Driver’s Equation” – A Video

The Driver's Equation

In this video, we share the “Driver’s Equation” definition. We do so through a program that we use for our upcoming online training courses. As a basic example, we took a snapshot in time as we drove a 4000 lbs. vehicle around a skidpad. The program can replicate vehicle characteristics and measure lateral acceleration, acceleration, and deceleration. The program allows us to change the parameters of a scenario and the characteristics of the vehicle. For example, we can change the type of vehicle (SUV – Sedan), the surface coefficient of friction, and tire pressure.

Mustang Mach E Passes MSP Test

Mustang Mach E Police Package EV

The Mustang Mach E received much media attention for being the first Electric Vehicle (EV) to pass the Michigan State Police Test. We here, at PoliceDriver.Com, believe Mach E deserves the attention. It may be the first Police EV tested, but it will not be the last.

It will be interesting to compare the EV numbers to those of the other vehicles once they analyze the data. In the interim, we can take a look at the impressive Car and Driver test data of a non-police packaged Mach E.

Law Enforcement Officer Motor Vehicle Safety

It’s a bit old, but some good information. Motor vehicle-related incidents are a leading cause of line-of-duty deaths for law enforcement officers in the United States. From 2006-2019, 809 officers died due to motor vehicle-related incidents (struck by and crashes). 43% of all line-of-duty deaths (National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund). It is crucial to promote motor vehicle safety among officers. So they can stay safe while working to make communities safer.
